After an extraordinary summer when many aspects of life were banned or restricted due to the COVID pandemic the staff at Scottish Curling and Curl Aberdeen developed a “return to curling” process which enabled curling to resume safely in Aberdeen on 8th November.
It is great to be back curling. A second lockdown in the central belt has closed all the ice rinks in that area again, so lets hope we can manage to keep going here into the Spring. Although some Province and Rink competitions have seen reduced entries, our club league is going strongly with 5 teams, and we are already half way through the autumn fixtures. Check the competitions page if you want to see how your team currently stands.
You will be aware that we were forced to cancel this summer’s AGM due to the restrictions. The current members of the committee remain in post meantime, and we plan to arrange a 2021 AGM if the rules allow it.
