The second round of the new province doubles competition took place on Saturday 16th February. A high road of 8 teams included mainly players who had taken part in the frst leg on 17th November, while 6 new teams competed in a parallel low road. The high road was won by Donalds CC and the low road by Aberdeen CC. Petroleum’s Philip Scott and Ali Oag came second in the high road, finishing just above Ian Grigor and Rhiann Macleod on ends. However, because they were the only team to win 5 games across the two legs, Grigor/Macleod are the overall winners of the competition.
In the low road, Petroleum’s Nicki Orr and Karen Shaw came a close second behind Aberdeen. Well done to all Petroleum players who took part in this challenging new format.
